Arena Stage, an award-winning regional theater, seeks talented candidates for a full-time Costume internship from October 2008 through June 2009.
Responsibilities:
Assist draper and first hand in making costumes; assist with shopping and pulling items from stock; run wardrobe crew.
Requirements:
Good sewing skills; basic knowledge of costume history, costume construction, and costume vocabulary; outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to work independently and collaboratively; excellent attention to detail and strong work ethic. A great attitude and enthusiasm for the arts is a must. Experience working in a professional theater is preferred. Candidates must be available to work weekends and evenings during productions, as necessary.
